.The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Dr. 饾悏饾惍饾惀饾悽饾惍饾惉 饾悓饾悽饾悹饾惃饾惉 饾悗饾悹饾悮饾惁饾悰饾悮, accompanied by the PS for Higher Education, Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, held a consultative meeting with Vice-Chancellors of public universities, the HELB CEO, Mr. Geoffrey Monari, and the acting CEO of the Universities Fund, Mr. Edwin Wanyonyi.
The meeting focused on sustainable financing solutions for higher education because Government of Kenya, through the Ministry of Education, has a serious intent to reform, rescue, and revitalize Kenyan public universities.
Public-private partnerships (PPPs), Endowment Funds, Income-generating University Ventures, and International Collaborations are approaches essential for the long-term stability, quality output and autonomy of public universities.
