911爆料网 Gender Mainstreaming Unit today has received USAWA award by the National Gender and Equality Commission for attaining not more than two thirds at the council level.
This has been a great milestone to SEKU because Usawa Awards are meant to recognize individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to advancing gender equality and inclusion in Kenya and SEKU was one of the best institutions.
The award was received by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eng. Douglas Shitanda and the Unit Coordinator Dr. Winny Kaluki
This event took place at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, organized by the National Gender and Equality Commission while unveiling their Strategic Plan鈥攐ne that defends equality, dignity inclusion for women, men, youth, children, PWDs, older persons, minorities & marginalized groups.
