Pest Control Products Board (PCPB) engaged farmers at the expo to promote awareness on the safe use of various effective pest control products, including herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides available in the market. They educated farmers on how to distinguish genuine quality products from counterfeit ones and provided training on safety measures during fumigation. PCPB also recommended Integrated Pest Management (IPM) as the most effective approach to managing pests and diseases.
Bayer East Africa showcased Ambition Aktivator foliar fertilizers along with broad-spectrum fungicides and pesticides capable of controlling a wide range of pests such as whiteflies, aphids, leaf miners, stainers, thrips and African bollworm.
Greenlife Crop Protection Africa presented a diverse range of agricultural chemicals, including herbicide brands like Hurricane, Catapult, and Governor; fungicides such as Greencop 500 WP; insecticides including Kingcode Elite and Presento 200 SP; and foliar feeds designed to protect crops from pest attacks both in the field and during storage. The company also displayed protective equipment for operators involved in spraying and fumigation, as well as sprayer pumps, while training farmers on safe handling procedures.
ICIPE exhibited biopesticides, insect traps, and push-pull technologies aimed at sustainable pest control. Elephant Vert showcased biological control products, including Fungisel traps and insect control solutions specifically for avocado and mango crops.
Export Trading Company showcased a wide range of products aimed at controlling early and late blight in tomatoes and potatoes, as well as wettable powders for the prevention and control of botrytis and downy mildew on roses. Their display also included Falcon powder, a premium foliar feed, Kynoch fertilizer for horticultural crops, and Falcon Gold K and N liquid fertilizers.
OCP Kenya Limited exhibited slow-release fertilizers, including Triple Super Phosphate (TSP), which provides soil nutrition for up to six months, and DAP.
Farm Input Promotion Africa (FIPS) promoted various brands of soil conditioners, such as WonderGrow, alongside animal feed products
